The Rev. John Zingaro, Pastor

The Rev. John Zingaro has lived on three continents, written

four books, bicycled across the United States, and studied nine

languages. He umpires baseball, referees soccer, and owns three

dogs. A 1993 graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, he

served congregations in Wisconsin and New Jersey before arriving

in Peoria in 2009. He is an enthusiast for history and science, which

often appear in his sermons. A native of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania

(near Pittsburgh), he became a professional journalist at the age of fifteen.

Karen Miller - Director of Christian Education

Karen Miller is a Bradley University graduate and a fantastic cook.

She lives in Washington with her husband and two children.

   

David Byrkit, Director of Music

David Byrkit is a music lover, a computer expert, and a train enthusiast.

He was formerly organist choirmaster at Old First Reformed Church

in Brooklyn. He has three grown children and one new grandson.

The Rev. Brooks McDaniel, Pastoral Associate

Brooks McDaniel leads Sunday School studies for adults,

writes poetry, and serves Communion for some of our Celtic

Worship services.

   

Sara Booth, Administrative Assistant

A former journalist and technical writer, Sara Booth is a

native North Carolinian. She lives in Peoria with one husband,

one daughter, and two cats, and she's working on a fantasy novel.

Denise Wirth, Financial Secretary

A West Peoria native, Denise has three grown children.

She's a pet lover and a brand-new grandmother!

 

 

   

Dick Hayes, Custodian

Dick Hayes is a former Marine, a Caterpillar retiree,

 and a Corvette enthusiast. He's been married since 1968

and has five grandchildren. He's looking forward to

traveling Route 66 with his wife, Kathee.

Joshua Hearn, Organist

Joshua Hearn earned an undergraduate degree in Organ Performance

from University of Illinois and formerly worked as organist at First Baptist

Church in Peoria. He's a past dean of the Peoria chapter of the American Guild

of Organists, an avid traveler, and a gourmet cook.
